How do I read a sky chart?

The outer circle is your horizon. The center is straight overhead. Stars, planets, and constellations appear at their current altitude and azimuth.

Does the sky chart work for my location?

Yes. Once you set your location, the chart is computed for your latitude, longitude, and the current time.

A planisphere shows the sky as if you were holding it overhead. East and west swap compared to a map so it matches the real sky when looking up.
